PAN FLUTE Developed from the bamboo model, to be more durable and having a richer tone. We use a solid piece of New Zealand Red Beech, turning each tube within it, and then carving out the traditional curved shape. Each tube is then tuned to create the best possible note with a deep and rich vibration, or in the upper registers, clear and reaching. As well as the emotive sound produced, the instrument has a sculptural beauty that makes it unique. Each one has a carving of a tranquil face on its large end. The whole process is by done by hand and each note is individually tuned to produce the richest tone available. Our pan flutes are made by Woody Woodward.
