Our ocarina has four finger holes plus 2 thumb holes and from these 6 holes you can produce over a full octave (10 notes) of clear far-reaching tones. You can bend the notes and play half-notes by not fully covering the sound holes.

Each ocarina has a different voice. Some need a confident strong breath, some need a soft blowing style and some need soft breath in the lower tones and strong breath for the upper notes. Whether it be a husky South American sound or bright and clear Irish whistle sound.So experiment lots with the blowing techniques.
